They have starred in several films thus making them household names in the country. In fact, they are screen goddesses who dictate the pace in Nollywood. But even with fame and fortune, most cannot wish away the fact that they are single mothers, actresses with love children. The roll call includes Regina Askia, Genevieve Nnaji, Sandra Achums, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Obot Etuk, Bose Joseph, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Alex Lopex, Bimbo Oshin, Clarion Chukwura, Ann Njemanze and Toyin Raji, amongst others.

Genevieve Nnaji
Despite several denials, it has stuck like a sore thumb. Indeed, what cannot be wished away so easily by star actress Genevieve Nnaji is the fact that she is a single mother.

As a teenager and in secondary school, Genevieve was impregnated by her young lover and the result was a beautiful baby girl. Having accepted the reality of her love child who is now about 9 years old, Genevieve has since moved on with her life. She has garnered more movie roles, released an album and pocketed a whopping sum as the new face of Lux.

Alex Lopex
Unlike Genevieve, Alex has never hidden the fact that she has a child out of wedlock. In fact, at every opportunity she is the first to announce that she has a love kid called Joshua. Alex often refers to the boy as the apple of her eyes.

Regina Askia
Sultry Nollywood star, Regina Askia needs little or no introduction in the movie industry. With her roles in several movies, Regina ranks as one of the foremost actresses in the country. She is also one of the well-known single mothers in Nollywood. Shortly after relinquishing her crown as the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Regina had her first baby, Stephanie for a French business magnate. Few years ago, the actress married Rudy, an African American and afterwards relocated to the United States where she gave birth to a baby boy. Regina's marriage has since broken down.

Sandra Achums
If anything, Sandra Achums has paid her dues in the movie industry. The plump, but beautiful actress has garnered several movie credits to herself than she can remember. A few years ago, Sandra had a child whose dad she is not ready to disclose. And just like her first child, the paternity of Sandra's other two kids is still unknown.

Toyin Raji
One of the beauty queens that has made her marks in Nollywood is Toyin Raji. Like Regina Askia, who was also a beauty queen, Toyin combines beauty and brains to excel in the movie business. However, the other thing she has in common with Regina is that she is a single parent. Toyin indeed has a love kid outside wedlock.

Obot Etuk
Obot Etuk is ravishingly elegant even with three kids. Perhaps, that's why popular actor Ernest Asuzu stuck to her like a leech. But the relationship most people thought was leading to the altar, crumbled. She has a kid from that union.

Clarion Chukwura
Popular actress, Clarion Chukwura has come a long way. She started acting as a teenager and rose to become a screen goddess. Today, she has several honours and accolades to show for her diligence. Nevertheless, Clarion had a fling with popular juju musician, Shina Peters in the early 80s. Both had met on the set of Money Power, a film produced by Ola Balogun. The liaison produced a son, Clarence, who is studying Film Production in South Africa, Clarion is now married to Femi Egyptian after her marriage to M.K.O. Abiola's younger brother collapsed.

Ronke Oshodi-Oke
Her gigantic mammary glands earned her a lead role in the film “Oshodi Oke”, which ultimately brought her into limelight. But before then, Ronke had had a child whose paternity is shrouded in secrecy.

Bose Joseph
A pharmacist turned actress, Bose Joseph has acted in a couple of Yoruba and English movies including soaps like Super Story. Apart from being a screen idol, Bose's daughter, Opemipo a.k.a Maradona is also a kid star. After her romance with Bamgbopa, Opemipo's father crumbled, Bose is hooked to another lover for whom she just had a baby boy.

Ann Njemanze
Star actress, Ann Njemanze was once married to popular actor Segun Arinze. The marriage, which produced a baby girl, Morenike, crumbled with allegations of adultery being hurled at each other. But just last September, the actress delivered a baby whose paternity is being kept under wraps.

Bimbo Oshin
Some years back when petite actress Bimbo Oshin started an affair with entertainment guru and boss of Dudu Heritage, Ola Ibironke, the movie industry was taken aback because of Ibironke's marital status. He had a wife and children who were based in America. Now the relationship has produced a baby, who was born late last year out of wedlock.

Ibinabo Fiberesima
Popular mulatto actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima has been in and out of marriage. Though, she had a love child before her first marriage, the screen goddess seems unlucky with men. Her relationship with ace photographer, Philip Trimnel collapsed, leaving her lonely and heartbroken with a child. Now, Ibinabo seems to be content with her status as a single mother.
