Airtel Harmonious Choir Leads The Launch Of Airtel Adom Praiz 2016
1st August, 2016---Airtel Ghana, headline sponsor of Adom Praiz - Ghana’s most spirit-filled gospel event, in collaboration with Adom 106.3 FM has launched the much-anticipated calendar marked gospel musical event at the telecom company’s head office in Accra on a live broadcast on Wednesday.
The three-hour launch which started from 2:00PM to 5:00PM was marked with heaven-opening worship songs that held listeners spell-bound for the entire broadcast period. As has been the tradition of the event over the years, the Airtel Harmonious choir sung the splendid tunes giving listeners a taste of what awaits patrons of the main event scheduled for 5th of August 2016.
The Airtel Harmonious Choir is an internal interdenominational group made up of twenty five Airtel employees who are singers in their various churches and are passionate about using music to promote good values in society. The launch also featured the ‘Onukwa Fuo Agya’ hit maker and gospel favourite Ceccy Twum.
Cornelius Kakrabah, Head of Brands and Marketing Communications reiterated why the Smartphone Network is associating itself with Adom Praiz, “Airtel is headlining the biggest Gospel event come 5th August. We are providing our customers and Ghanaians a platform to connect and to worship. This is our way of letting our customers know that every aspect of their lives matter to us – lifestyle and religious.”
According to Mr. Kakraba, “This is the seventh edition and the third consecutive time we’re headlining Airtel Adom Praiz. Every year’s edition comes with something new. This year, Airtel Harmonious choir, made up of employees who are members of their respective denomination’s choirs, are billed as opening acts for the event.”
The event which, will be held at the Perez Dome, Dzorwulu, Accra will feature the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, USA, local gospel giants like Francis Amo, Joe Mettle, Obaapa Christy and the Airtel Harmonious Choir.
Last year, renowned American gospel music singer and pastor of prominent Brooklyn New York megachurch, Love Fellowship Tabernacle, Hezekiah Walker graced the 6th Adom Praiz which, patrons testified was awesome.
Airtel Adom Praiz has over the years featured internationally acclaimed musicians and ministers of God, including CeCe Winnas, Kirk Franklin, and other iconic local gospel artistes. The main aim of the show is to give thanks to God for his continuous protection and also to celebrate artistes.
Tickets for the event are available in all Airtel shops as well as at the offices of the Multimedia Group in Accra.
