Following our story ''Stop Talking And Start Cooking For Your Husband – Genevieve Punches Ini Edo'', mixed reactions have continued to trail the recent outbursts between the two star actresses.

The quarrel emanated from a purported reaction by Edo to Nnaji's interview where she said she uses make-up to battle wrinkles.
Edo had reportedly reminded Nnaji that she should live with the reality that she is aging already and that she can't help the situation.

Not sated with criticizing Nnaji, Edo at a time also lampooned her colleague, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, who, according to a report, wanted to undergo breast enhancement abroad.

However, for a few of their fans, who have been following the story with interest, the continuous exchange of words between the two actresses is not in any way healthy for the already troubled industry.

Already, some fans seem to be taking sides with their favorite actress. For one of the fans of Edo, she advised that the actress, Nnaji, should think of settling down rather than chastising her colleague. For another, the actresses should settle their differences for the sake of the industry. And to some others, the quarrel is another Nollywood movie in the making.

In his view, Patrick Elimian, a banker, wrote, “Let them get busy with their career. In entertainment industry, age sometimes can be an advantage. Check out Bollywood and you will agree with me.”

However, in a telephone conversation with News Star, some top Nollywood practitioners, who preferred anonymity, unanimously said, “There is no point overflogging the issue.”

Also, while some said they needed to confirm the truth or otherwise of the story, a few maintained that the actresses involved couldn't have made such comments.

In his reaction, Dickson Iroegbu, a renowned director, did not agree less with his colleagues. He wondered what the writer hoped to achieve with such a story. In his reply to the story on Facebook, he rather advised that the industry be saved the embarrassment. “Save our plateau,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time the industry is witnessing such a squabble among actresses. Sometime ago, it was reported that actress Tricia Esiegbe was quarrelling with actress Obi Edozie. In spite of the public denial, the story became more credible when the dramatis persona e granted interviews in some newspapers and magazines accusing each other of backstabbing and boyfriend snatching.

Also, Edo is not a stranger to this kind of messy tale. She was once reported to have parted ways with her former friend and colleague, Uche Jombo, when the latter reportedly expressed pessimism about the former's wedding plans then.

Interestingly, despite the controversy, Edo, as if to prove critics and Jombo wrong, went ahead to get married to her heartthrob.
Before now, there had been reports of disagreement between actresses Kate Henshaw-Nuttal and Stella Damasus-Nzeribe.

On different occasions, the two Nollywood stars vehemently described the reports as mere rumours, but they could not totally convince their numerous fans that all was well between them.

Today, while all the actresses concerned have buried their differences, most industry watchers are of the opinion that the last is yet to be heard about the war of words among Nnaji, Jalade-Ekeinde and Edo.
