Stop Giving your Children to Friends and Family Members to Care for Them… Opeyemi Aiyeola

Nollywood actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola, has rather not allowed the situation of the country to weigh her down but has chosen to address the issues of parents neglecting their wards.

The actress warned that parents should learn to observe their children and ask various questions instead of just ignoring their activities.

She noted that parents' leaving their children in the hands of friends and family members is not enough to build the mind of the child as these people will not be able to care for them the way they the biological parents would.

In her words, "kids will always be kids, hence we can never quantify the large difference between us and them, specifically in terms of what role we play in their growth and how well and effective our roles are, to their growth as well. They need our care, they need our love, they need our all, above all they need our attention.

'Leaving them always or occasionally to the mercy of friends and even family care isn't and wouldn't be enough. Do you know that a simple "how are you, or maybe how do you do? Could go a long way to determine how they feel, what's been going on, and what they might need to live a better healthy life. What 'am I saying parents all over the world? They weren't and wouldn't just be our kids by mistake, there safety and healthy growth is and should be seen as our calling. Let us show more care, give more time and show them we can be their best. May God bless our kids, and may we live long to reap the fruits of our efforts on them."
