Popular Dj Zeez Ordered By Lagos Court To Refund N22.3m To Former Record Label

SAN FRANCISCO, May 10, (THEWILL) – A high court sitting in Lagos has ordered popular Nigerian hip-hop artiste, Zeez (formerly known as DJ Zeez) to refund over N22 Million to his erstwhile record label, HF Music.

The 'Fokasibe' crooner, real name Kingsley Elikpo was ordered to refund the sume of Twenty-Two Million, Three Hundred and Seventy-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred and Five Naira and Seventy Kobo (N22,378,605.70) being the total amount spent by HF Music through various advances made to and on his behalf, from the commencement date of his contract with the label until the point when it was breached by him to the company, by the presiding judge.

According to a legal document obtained by Pulse , the N22.3 Million compensation is a refund of all the money spent on him by the label.

“The presiding judge, Honourable Justice B.A. Oke-Lawal (Mrs) in the case brought before the High Court of Lagos State, ordered that Zeez, real name – Kingsley Elikpo, should refund the sum of N22,378,605.70 (Twenty-Two Million, Three Hundred and Seventy-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred and Five Naira and Seventy Kobo) being the total amount spent by HF Music through various advances made to and on his behalf, from the commencement date of his contract with the label until the point when it was breached by him”.

Zeez and HF Music are yet to make any official statement on the issue.
