31 Girls Arrested In Kano For Immoral Act
BEVERLY HILLS, March 27, (THEWILL) – The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 31 young girls within the Kano metropolis over their alleged involvement in sexually related immoral acts.
According to Sani Tanko, Spokesman of the board, in a chat with reporters over the weekend in Kano, the suspects were apprehended in a hotel during a special operation at the Sabon Gari area of the metropolis, predominantly occupied by non-indigenes.
Tanko added that the board's officials screened the suspects and released those identified to be first time offenders on bail, while others were referred to the legal department for further action.
He declared that those whose parents refused to claim them will also be charged to court for proper prosecution as he advised parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children to enable them become useful to the society, as well as contribute positively to the development of the country.
