Frsc Blames Ocholi’s Death On Over Speeding

BEVERLY HILLS, March 09, (THEWILL) – The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has stated that the major cause of the accident that claimed the lives of the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Barr. James Ocholi SAN, his wife and son was over speeding, adding that Ocholi's driver had no drivers license as his name was not found on the data base of the Commission.

This was the submission of the FRSC Corp Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi while presenting the accident's Road Traffic Crash Investigation Interim Report to the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting presided by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He went on to state that the investigation revealed that the impact of the accident was more on Ocholi and his family members who were seated at the rear seats of the Sports Utility Vehicle, SUV, because they were not using seat belts at the time the unfortunate incident occurred.

The late under Minister, his wife and son perished last Sunday in an auto crash that occurred at the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.

During the valedictory session of the FEC on Wednesday, six ministers from the geopolitical zones of the country paid tribute to the late Ocholi. All cabinet members are expected to visit Ocholi's family immediately after FEC meeting.
