SAN FRANCISCO, February 20, (THEWILL) – Five Star Music President, Emeka Okonkwo popularly known as E-Money turned a year older yesterday and to celebrate it, he decided to give back to the street by surprising a young hawker with a brand new car and 300,000 naira cash.

According to his brother, Kcee who shared the news on his Instagram they had met the boy named Promise sometime ago while the singer was doing a street promo for telecommunication company, MTN.

Kcee had promised to help him and E-Money took up on the promise.

The shoe-rack hawker who hails from Ebonyi State has been hawking for over 6 years with his brother and on the day the Five Star Music crew had set out to find him they discovered that both him and his brother had been picked up by KAI (Kick Against Indiscipline) officials for hawking on the road.

They proceeded to the KAI office in Alausa, Ikeja where they found Promise and his brother in custody and pleaded with the officials to let them go. Their pleas were heeded but only after they signed an undertaking to never hawk again.

Promise was then presented with the brand new Toyota Corolla and cash to get a new apartment.
