FRSC Mobilizes Tricycle Drivers On Safe Driving In Mubi

Tricycle Drivers in Mubi town of Adamawa have been tasked on safe driving to ensure hitch free Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The Mubi Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mohammadu Taki, gave the charge at a stakeholders meeting with the cyclists in Mubi.

Mohammadu said the need for safe driving and respects for traffic rules and regulations by the cyclists became necessary in view of their role as the major source of transportation in the commercial border town.

Taki also tasked them on security consciousness and the need to always be wary of passengers they carry.

Also speaking at the meeting, the representative of Adamawa Board of Internal Revenue, Abubakar Bobboi, urged the cyclists yet to register with the board for their papers and number plate to do so.

Bobboi said the registration would not only boost government revenue for development projects but also ensure the security of the registered tricycles.

In his response, the spokesman of the tricyclists, Sani Musa, lauded FRSC for organizing the meeting assuring that his members would comply for their own good.

Musa also said that the cyclists union would ensure that all it's members registered with relevant authorities for security reasons and easy tracking of erring members.
