WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Kelly Hansome – Catch Me If You Can

Source: nigeriafilms.com

Ladies and Gentlemen,

One of the most controversial Nigerian artistes till date, Kelly Hansome, is here again! Mr Maga himself, who has shown over time that he doesn't shy away from controversy has decided to stay consistent with that tag. First, he released the controversial song “Maga Don Pay” which ended up getting banned by the NBC (for obvious reasons). Then last year, he put out one of the buzz tunes of the year, Igwe (Kom Kom) dissing the Mo' Hits Crew and Terry G.

NOW! he's taking fresh shots at the Mo' Hits Crew (based on a “Kiss Ur Hand” freestyle Wande Coal recently dropped in Ghana)… but this time, superstar rapper, M.I Abaga and the Chocolate City is also in the firing line along with 2shotz. He even goes as far as taking 1 or 2 jabs at music mogul, Kenny “Keke” Ogungbe of Kennis Music.

From what we hear, Kelly Hansome was first angered by M.I's remark on “Fast Money, Fast Cars”. On that track, M.I said “Kelly Hansome is handsome, I'll tell him when I see him. But if I want a man, it will be Keke or D1.” The last straw for Kelly (once again, from what we hear), was M.I's involvement on the “Maga No Need Pay” track, which is seen in some quarters as a response to Kelly's “Maga Don Pay” hit single.

The Keke Ogungbe reference stems from the ongoing contractual wranglings between Kelly Hansome and Kennis Music (further details on that withheld), and as for the 2shotz reference… well…. you can ask Kelly (in an Iceberg Slim tone).

Kelly Hansome is currently putting finishing touches to his next album titled “Names of Noise Makers!” and we're told to expect 100% versatility; rapping, singing, et al. On it, he'll be addressing the whole industry 1-by-1. Only time will tell if this “I no send you” move will pay off or backfire. I'm sitting on the fence on this one. What do y'all think? Good move or bad move?
