LAFARGE WINS BIG AT SERAs 2015 AWARD

Lafarge Africa Plc won three awards at the 2015 Social Enterprise Report Awards (SERAs), viz Best Company in Environmental Sustainability, Best Company in Stakeholder Engagement and the 2nd Runner Up, Overall Winner SERA 2015.

The awards were in recognition of the Company's commitment to preserving the environment with special mention of our alternative fuels initiatives in Ewekoro and Sagamu plants as well as the high level of stakeholder engagement which is entrenched in our corporate values.

In all, Lafarge Africa Plc has 11 nominations. Others include Community Involvement, Education, Partnership for Development, Promotion of Gender Equality and Infrastructure.

The event which held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the MUSON Centre in Lagos was attended by various dignitaries and executives of top organisations in Nigeria.

SERA is an initiative established to recognise and share organisations' best CSR practices in Nigeria. This is the third edition we are participating in having won three awards as well as the overall award in 2013 and two awards in 2014.
