Ace comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akporobomerere popularly known as Ali Baba and Former Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku could be best described as successful men in their respective fields. Both have left their footprints in the sands of time. But what could Anyaoku have done to Ali Baba that would make him say he was embarrassed by the former.

The rib cracker opens up on his experience with the renowned diplomat recently in Lagos in an interview with the sun.

He said Chief Emeka Anyaoku once asked him to anchor an event that would be well attended by his international friends, but he said that he didn't have money to pay for Ali Baba's services. The comedian agreed to do the service without pay.

However, after the event, Chief Emeka gave him a book on international politics as a gift. “I read the preface, flipped through a few pages and dropped the book with plans to read it much later" Ali baba said.

Unknowing to him there was a cheque of N1 million inside the book which he later saw three months after. The cheque was concealed in one of the last pages.

According to Ali Baba, he felt embarrassed because he had seen Chief Anyaoku several times after the event, but had not expressed appreciation for his kind gesture.

The ace comedian later cash the money and thanked Chief Emeka on their next meeting.
