Nigeria as a Terrorist State, Self Inflicted?

Nigeria is now a terrorist state that is not news anymore. The news now is that all Nigerians traveling to the US and some European countries will now seem to regret having the green passport.

That Nigeria will sooner than later join the league of terrorists states or rogue states was almost predictable. What with the haste Nigeria was dragged into the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) in 1986.

What with the zeal with which some so called Islamic countries fall over themselves competing to Islamize Nigeria at all cost despite the fact that 50% of their own citizens leave below the poverty line. A good look at the landscape of Nigeria will tell you that every available space is being converted into a mosque. The various Islamic sects within and outside Nigeria have found Nigeria a fertile ground to propagate hatred and to look at every other sect as not genuine but their own. Otherwise what is the rationale of the kala katos, the dar-sulams, the boko harams and many faceless terrorists organisations that held Nigeria and Nigerians hostage for a very long time.

That brings me to the fact that whoever is in position of leadership most think of the long time effect of decisions they take. Some controversial decisions taken during the Babangida military despotism has left in its trail anarchy which will eventually led to the break of Nigeria. In as much as some group feel they are supremacists then genuine peace will elude Nigeria.

Dora Akunyili has my sympathy, I expect her to be honorable or so I am assuming. What does she expect the Americans to do? To tell Nigeria thank you for breeding a “World

Class Terrorist” with evil intention to kill 289 innocent persons in an aircraft and probably destroy Detroit the car manufacturing nerve center of the United States. Nobody can estimate the number of persons Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab would have killed on ground had he succeed in his dastardly evil act. While we commend his father Umaru Abdulmutallab for being brave and honest to call the attention of the security agencies t the suspicious behaviour of his son, we expect and challenge the Northern elites that have always used religion to pauperize the commoners and pamper their spoilt brats children to tow this honorable behaviour.

Professor Dora Akunyili and some of colleagues in the Yar' adua circus show cum executive council have now mastered the act of deceit and systemic laying that they talk without conscience. Just like the how they swept the boko haram saga under the carpet, the Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab security breach will surely die a natural death once the present heat is over.

Let us all save Nigeria from self annihilation. The path being towed by Islamic fundamentalist and their foreign sponsors will not augur well for Nigeria. More so that those who created most of these problems for this once great country called Nigeria are still there dictating the tune of governance.

All good people in Nigeria most speak out now before it is too late and we all have ourselves to blame.

But why don't we try the “Sovereign National Conference” option?

Unfortunately for now my dear country Nigeria has added another woe to its many woes. It has officially joined the league of terrorists rogue states also called the axes of evil courtesy one Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab from Funtua Katsina State. Failure of leadership in Nigeria, all the facts speak for itself. Islamic sects and organizations with terrorists tendencies are gradually taking over governance. Good people must talk now before it is too late.
