THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat workers have urged the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  to immediately arrest members of National Working Committee,  for interrogation and prosecution.

The disgruntled staff made the call at  a press conference addressed by the  the Chairman of the PDP Staff Welfare Association, Ngozi Nzeh,

But PDP national publicity secretary, in a swift response, described the allegations of funds misappropriation against the NWC, as a set of contrived, baseless and untrue allegations.

Metuh equally alleged that the PDP workers were being sponsored by the All Progressives' Congress (APC) to destroy the party.

The PDP workers called on influential organs of the party like the PDP governors' Forum, Board of Trustees, and the National Caucus to send the NWC members on a compulsory resignation.

They lamented: “The Party under the current leadership of Prince Uche Secondus as Acting National Chairman and Professor Wale Oladipo as National Secretary has been systematically and deliberately dismembered and is being led to the morgue in preparation for its final burial.”

On the alleged misappropriation of funds, the workers said: “We also call on the anti-graft agencies such as the EFCC, the Police, and ICPC to beam their searchlight on the nefarious activities of the PDP NWC before they finally take the party to the grave yard.”

They added that they had series of relevant documents to proof the allegation of corruption against the NWC members of invited by the EFCC.
