Nigerian singer, Wizkid,has admitted that he appreciates what BET awards was doing for African singers but was surprised base on the rumours he got that the organizers were angry at him for not turning up for the pre-shows and interviews.

Wizkid stated that though putting up such an event is not always easy he pointed that he does not want to talk about the awards because he does not really care about it.

According to him, “I don't post about nominations or talk about awards cos I don't really care to be honest. Just a bunch of peeps putting together a show.”

He stressed that he has so much love for the organizers of the awards but noted that making good music for his fans is what matters most to him adding that when next the awards is organized, he will still come around to watch.

“I love you BET! If I'm in the city when next you doing the award show , I'll still come to watch. Performing to my amazing fans and making music is all I care about,” he said.
