The delibitating effects of fuel scarcity in Adamawa

The residents of Yola and Jimeta have yet entered into another scourging life as the scarcity of petroleum products (PPMS) which turned life of many people unbearable, most especially commercial vehicle and commutters who their livehood depends on the products.

Today's fuel pump price has sky-rocketed beyond the expection of many commuters,many filling are celebrating on the fuel scarcity as the placed price of the at wills while some are delibrately hoarding the products for speculative motives.

When contacted the chairman of independent petroleum marketers of Nigeria,Adamawa state chapter,Alhaji Abubakar Butu said

" He cannot give a detail why of all the serious fuel scarcity,i can only said that is as a result of the lingaring strike organised by PENGASSAN which was resolved today hopefull there is going to be enough petroleumsoon"

All efforts were made to get the chairman of PENGASSAN failed as all calls put through his phone numbers could not success and was not on seat when visited his office.

Our correspondents gathered that a litre of petroleum is sold within the range of 135- 145 per litre with a serious queus in the filling stations, this has general effects on the state's economy, bussiness men in Jimeta mordern market are using the situation to increase prices of market

Increase of transport fares in the towns are recorded on daily times as a results of fuel scarcity.

Some people are condeming the administration of president Goodluck Jonathan for nurturing and having a failing a economy some few days to handover, Barr Bala James Nggilari is also being accused of helping in the many problems the state is going through as he failed to make up to the state's economy only to ruin it down some few days to handover.
