How humble Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson can be for staging a peaceful protest with large crowd to drive home their yearnings over the poor electricity supply in the country.

After many findings, it was discovered that the actress does not have issues with power supply as she is connected to the state owned electricity supply who constantly monitors her electricity usage. Despite her status, the actress was still able to throw away her ego and pride to protest on behalf on other citizens who were suffering.

Reports emanated over the weekend that the actress power supply was cut off by the management of the Redrow estate in Accra, where the actress occupies.

There were various rumours that state power distributor- the electricity company of Ghana (ECG) had on Sunday cut power to the residence of the actress for illegal connection but it was later denied by the Chief Executive Office of the company, Christopher Aryeetey.

According to Christopher, “Electricity supply to our client, Yvonne Nelson, who is a resident and the focus of the media, has not been disconnected as reported. We would like to further add that her property is properly metered and therefore has legal connection.”

The company also denied reports that the entire Redrow Estates has had its electricity supply disconnected.
