Fire Guts Education Ministry Building In Abuja

BEVERLY HILLS, May 14, (THEWILL) – The building housing the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, was Thursday afternoon gutted by fire.

The inferno, which has been contained as at the time of writing this report, started on the ninth floor of the building which is beside the Federal Secretariat in Abuja, a complex that houses several top federal government offices.

The affected tower also houses several commercial offices including banks.

The cause of the inferno and the level of damage done to the offices could not ascertained as the press time.
