More criticisms have trailed the remix of the late Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie's 1985 classic song, 'We Are The World'.

Some select African acts had come together to wax their own version of the single to kick against Xenophobia in South Africa and Ebola in Africa.

Artistes like Don Jazzy, Sean Tizzle, Banky W, Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platinum, Harry Songz, Mafikizolo, Yemi Alade and many others partook in the song.

But some critics have given the effort knocks.

The latest is Ghana-based Nigerian radio presenter, Darlington Smile, otherwise known as Smile Baba.

The radio presenter said the artistes put up a woeful performance and disgraced the continent. He also said the remix destroyed the song's reputation as a classic and urged the artistes to go back to the studio for a better one.

"Saw the 'We Are The World' song done by Africa all stars and I think they destroyed the good reputation the song had.

"Off key, off beat and flat notes all through. It is a disgrace that Africa All-Stars messed up that great song written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie.

"Their version cannot be considered as 'Africa's best'. We can do better than what they did. What a shame. Smile Baba say please go back to the studio and redeem the continents image,” he said.
