BEVERLY HILLS, March 09, (THEWILL) – Victims of weekend's multiple explosions in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, were on Monday offered some relief items by Hajiya Aisha Buhari, wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.

The items, which included 150 cartons of assorted drugs, 1000 multi-vitamins, polythene mats and blankets, were handed over to the victims on her behalf by the Borno State First Lady, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima.

Hajiya Shettima, who conveyed the feelings of Buhari's wife to the victims, urged women particularly to continue to pray for lasting peace not only in the state but the country at large.

She also commended the security agencies and the youth vigilante group for their efforts in tackling the insurgency in the state.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Borno State Hospitals and Management Board, Dr. Salisu Kwaya Bura, who received the items on behalf of the victims, described the donation as timely, saying it will greatly assist in the treatment of the patients.
