Two Borno Ex-Deputy Governors , Ogbeh Become Shettima's Advisers

SAN FRANCISCO, January 27, (THEWILL) – Two former Borno State deputy governors have been appointed honorary special advisers on Political Affairs by the state governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima.

The duo, Alhaji Shettima Dibal, who served under former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff from 2003 to 2011, and Alhaji Abubakar Jatau, who was the deputy to another former governor, the late Mala Kachallah from 1999 to 2003, were among the seven honorary special advisers appointed alongside 46 other special advisers appointed by the governor on Tuesday.

Their appointment was contained in a statement personally signed by the governor.

Others honorary Special Advisers appointed by the governor, according to the statement, included Prof. Umaru Shehu, Primary Health Care; Engr. Ibrahim Ali, Agriculture; former PDP national chairman, Chief Audu Ogbe, Industry; Secretary of the Borno Elders Forum, Bulami Mali Gubio, Education; and Prof. Dili Dogo of the University of Maiduguri, Health.

Also, the spokesman of the governor before the cabinet was dissolved over six months ago, Malam Isa Gusau, has been re-appointed as Special Adviser on Media.

The statement said other appointees were selected from the 27 local government areas in the state , with each council having a representative.
