In view of the need to maintain adequate security in Ekiti State, the State Government has stopped pasting of posters in the night in the State.

The government has also directed that no poster should be pasted anywhere in the State without evidence of payment of relevant fees to the State Signage Agency.

Special Assistant to the governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, who made this known in a statement issued on Friday, added that; 'anyone caught pasting posters in the night will be treated like criminal.'

He said; 'The government was worried at the way criminals have been hiding under pasting of posters in the night to commit crimes.

'It has therefore become an offence to paste posters in the night. Posters should henceforth be pasted during the day time after payment of relevant fees to the Signage Agency.

'Henceforth, security agents will be on patrol in the night and anyone found pasting posters will be arrested and dealt with accordingly.'
