Again Mark wants Nigerians to unite against Boko Haram

Senate President Senator David Mark has again urged Nigerians to unite against the Boko Haram and terrorists as the enemy of the people.

Senator Mark noted that the activities of Boko Haram clearly shows that they do not represent anything good or religious inclination but purely extremist pursuing anti-people agenda.

Addressing the congregation at St. Monica's Catholic church, Otada near Otukpo, Benue State to mark the last Sunday of 2014, Senator Mark pleaded with the perpetrators of violence and killings to give peace a chance.

He said what Nigerians earnestly desire now is peace, love and unity to heal the wounds inflicted on them by insurgents and Boko Haram adherents.

The Senate president also implored all Nigerians to resort to prayers against forces of evil stressing ” we must not allow the devil doers to succeed . With prayers God will put them to shame”.

Senator Mark noted that the issue of security is not a matter for politics but an issue that demands our cooperation and action to tackle.

In his sermon, Parish; Rev.Fr. Kenneth Ode urged all Nigerians irrespective of faith to resort to prayer as the potential weapon to end insurgency and terrorism racaging the land.
