Let’s Activate Our Sense of Appreciation and Sympathy for the Disabled - Peterside

By Nwaorgu Faustinus

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Rivers State, Hon. Dakuku Peterside has called on all good men to activate their sense of appreciation and sympathy as the world commemorates The International Day of Disabled Persons.

The governorship aspirant made the call today in a press statement saying, “Today, we remember in a very special way, our brothers and sisters who face physical and mental challenges of varying degrees. Our world definitely, would have been different and undeniably incomplete without them. For that reason, we celebrate them for making the world inclusive and complete”.

“But we must ponder on a day like this. How much of equal opportunities, rehabilitation, love and above all, prevention of disabilities have we encouraged in our different worlds as individuals and groups? There could not have been a better time to advance the rights of persons with disabilities”.

“Therefore, we need to activate our sense of appreciation and sympathy as we join the rest of the world in marking this day. This obiligation should shape our thoughts and actions today and beyond”.

“We are Greater Together”, Hon. peterside conluded.
