Ashafa donates buses to party leaders in Lagos East Senatorial District
In a bid to ease their burdens in terms of transportation whilst carrying out party-related activities, the lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator 'Gbenga Ashafa on Thursday, handed over two eighteen-seater buses to the Youth and Women Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the district .
The handing over which took place at Encounter House, Magodo was witnessed by all the Youths and Women Leaders across the 5 Local Governments and 11 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos East Senatorial District.
According to the lawmaker, the gesture came as a result of a series of meetings he held with the leaders recently. He said that the difficulties faced by both the youths and women leaders in the district while discharging their leadership roles is quite unbearable and that it is high time something tangible was done about it.
"This is a gesture that was done unconditionally, it is necessary because of the activities of the party, especially at this crucial period when series of activities have been lined up for the party leaders. The success of our party cannot be put in to jeopardy, this is just the beginning, more will still come." He promised
The senator who gave the leaders stipends for the maintenance of the buses also advised the Leaders to use the buses judiciously for the progress of the party always.
