The National Population Commission (NPC) will interview 30,000 households in 2010's National Education Data Survey, its Chairman, Samu'ila Makama said on Monday in Abuja.

While at a press briefing on the National Dissemination workshop on the housing component of the 2006 census which is scheduled for March 25, Mr. Makama said, 'The Commission will interview 30,000 households with children from four to 16 years.

'A minimum of 790 households will be covered per state, and four types of questionnaires will be conducted, like households, eligible child, independent child and parents/guardians questionnaires,' he said.

He said that the survey would enhance good planning, adding that planning would be impossible without it.

'On the whole, the survey will provide a baseline data on internal migration in Nigeria, and improve the management of internal migration on sustainable basis,' he said.
