MTN To Launch Music + App—Biggest Thing To Happen In Nigerian Entertainment Industry
Africa's most valuable brand and leading ICT Company, MTN Nigeria is set to redefine and revolutionize the entertainment industry in Nigeria with the launch of its Music+ App. An unconfirmed source says the company has perfected plans for the launch expected to hold in July. It is rumored to be the biggest thing that would happen in the music industry in Nigeria this year as they intend to pull out all the stops on this one.
The app would be called Music+. It is a converged music streaming and download platform, optimized for mobile and online access and is socially enabled to accommodate cross-user activity. The app is available for download in beta testing mode for now, and it is free. However to download a song on it, you'd pay a token of N50 and that won't ruin anything.
Music+ is a round-the-clock exciting way of music streaming, music sharing, play-listing & more especially for Naija music. Users can streamline directly to their mobile devices, enjoy offline streaming as well for zero data needed. They can manage their personal mobile music library as they wish and share their taste of music and explore more via music playlist recommendation. Most streaming apps run adverts which at times interrupt music play and disgruntles users, but Music+ promises a no-Advert disruption during streaming.
We hear that this exclusive launch event for the platform promises to be full of fun and excitement as it would be the party of the year! It has also been reported some of the company's Music Ambassadors will be releasing new hits at the launch. We also hear that a prominent MTN music ambassador would do collaborate with renowned international star, Diana King of the Shy Guy fame on a new single.
A-list artists, top DJ's in the industry and top media entertainment independent programme producers like Sound City, Hip TV and MTV Base as well as Beat FM will all be in attendance. Feelers from those in the know suggest that this event is strictly by invitation!
