The Charter is a public document that specifies the commission's standards of service delivery, informs customers of their rights and helps them determine whether they were served right or otherwise by the commission.

Juwah explained that the Service Charter is in compliance with the directives of the federal government.

The EVC observed that the various Service improvement initiatives like the telecom consumer parliament, establishment of contact centres where consumers can seek redress when service fails among others, would be reviewed regularly to enable their users implement improvement plans that are based on citizens' priorities.

Also speaking at the event, the SERVICOM National Coordinator and Senior Special Adviser to the President, Mr. Sybriks Obriki said that the introduction of the Service Charter programme into public institutions would not only enhance effective service delivery but also boost public confidence in government establishments.

He urged NCC to put in more effort at ensuring that the programme succeeds, especially as it regards the mandate upon which it was established.

He said that federal government was determined at ensuring that the goal of excellence service delivery in all its agencies was achieved.
