Former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has described a former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as an uncommon leader.

Kalu said Tinubu's capacity for the mobilisation of his people was legendary.

Kalu made the remarks in a statement by his Special Assistant, Prince Oyekunle Oyewumi, to commemorate the birthday of Tinubu.

He said that Tinubu has become a phenomenon in Nigeria's politics as he has demonstrated since the return of the country to democratic rule.

He said: “Apart from ruling Lagos State for eight years and laying the foundation for the development of the state, Tinubu's capacity to mobilise his people for any worthy cause has shown him to be a leader in whom the people believe and who they can trust.

“Only few leaders in Nigeria command such cult-like followerrship as Tinubu does. These are people who have no doubt about his passion for their welfare.

“Despite the fact that Tinubu has had cause to have the name of his party changed several times, the loyalty to him by his followers has not waned over the years. Rather, it has only become further strengthened.

“As you clock another year, it is pertinent to wish you many more years in the service of the country and sound health in the years ahead.”
