Prince Tonye Princewill, the Rivers State AC Leader was over the weekend the Special Guest of Honour at the commissioning and Thanksgiving of the Bishop Boma Lawson led West African Mission in Port Harcourt.

Presenting his vision to the assembled guests, Clergy and members of the congregation, Bishop Dr Boma Lawson stated that “The main thrust of this thanksgiving is to make a greater commitment to the Lord Jesus and to the assignment He has entrusted into my care. Furthermore, I want to declare to the whole world, that I will not stop preaching nor stop carrying out my God given assignment. The vision will never die. We are matching onward as soldiers of the cross of Christ.

Speaking at the occasion, Prince Tonye delivered what the majority of those in attendance likened to a spirited sermon. He charged the clergy men and the entire Church to embrace and participate in politics in the coming elections to prevent the election of misfits who would now be saddled with the responsibility of deciding the fate of the majority. He said the present State of the Nation should be enough reason for any well meaning, peace loving citizen to choose to stand up and be counted. In his speech, he also stated that a similar discontent with the opportunist role of the government in Rivers State during the twilight years of Odili's tenure informed his decision to join active politics. He stated that hitherto, he had watched from the sidelines.
