The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State chapter, says it will no

longer condone the persistent and unwarranted insults and acts that

undermine the person and office of the President of the Federal Republic

of Nigeria by Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
The Party notes with displeasure what it calls daily attacks by the

Governor on President Jonathan on issues that do not deserve such

onslaught, stressing that the extent of insubordination and disrespect

exhibited by Gov Amaechi to the President can no longer be tolerated by

the Party, as he (Amaechi) would not have endured that long before taking

action, including branding anyone who does that against him as cultist and

ensured he is arrested and detained unlawfully.
The PDP also urges Governor Amaechi to rather than using the State's

security votes on frivolous trips, and events, and sponsorship of the

activities of the All Progressives Congress, APC, should utilize the

billions of naira he receives collects monthly in ending the upsurge in

criminality in Rivers State.
The Party recalls that in the past three weeks, several high profile

killings and kidnappings have taken place in Rivers State, immediately CP

Mbu Joseph Mbu was transferred, adding that as three PDP stalwarts

regained their freedom last week (Thursday), another high profile kidnap

occurred on Sunday, as the Site Manager of Rivigo, Engr. Leyira Kamanu, an

indigene of Kpean Community in Khana Local Government Area of the State

was kidnapped.
The PDP demands that it's high time Governor Amaechi settled down in the

State, and use the State huge financial resources judiciously, including

tackling the spate of crimes and violence in the State.

The PDP also calls for the unconditional release of Engr. Leyira Kamanu,

and appeals to youths in the State to desist from engaging themselves in

acts of violence and criminality.
