Women Are Interested In The Nigeria That Works –Okei-Odumakin

At the recently concluded women leadership conference held yesterday and hosted by foremost magazine 'Top Celebrity Magazine', nollywoodgists crew caught up with Nigeria top woman activist Dr. Odumakin, the Founder, President, Women Arise For Change Initiatives. An NGO which stands to fight against domestic violence against women and others.

Having watched her from afar and come to the conclusion she has done so much for herself as an activist and know her as someone who speaks out when ought to and want to speak out, we tried to find out her opinions as to the reasons why the essence of womanhood is been celebrated and its necessity. To which she replied hastily;

“Women are worth celebrating and in celebrating them is not really to massage their ego but to encourage them to do lots more and that's why I want to salute the courage of the organizers. This is an effort making event and it will go a long way in encouraging our women to positively affect lives and when they do that in their immediate family/homes, the community will gain at large, because we are interested in the Nigeria that works”.

Odumakin is doing much for herself and we are proud of her. She is a woman worthy of emulation by young women
