Mikel Obi, Genevieve Nnaji to star in movie

This information came few days after photos of the football star and the Nollywood actress were published online as they boarded a private jet in South Africa.

According to news report, top Nigerian footballer Mikel Obi has made his Nollywood debut in a movie titled ''The Journey'' alongside Nollywood diva Genevieve Nnaji .

Nigerianfilms.com learnt that the movie 'The Journey' is centred on the superstars' journey to success; how they started out, the story of their challenges and the glory of where they are now .

The new film, which is sponsored by Amstel Malta, will premiere at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards on March 8.
