Chime dissolves, reconstitutes Boards of 19 parastatals

Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has reconstituted the boards of nineteen parastatals, corporations, companies and Boards in the State.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Patrick Okolo said the action followed the dissolution of the existing boards of the affected parastatals with effect from the 3rd of February, 2014.

The reconstituted Boards according to the statement include those of the Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA), United Palm Produce Limited (UPPL), Nigeria Construction and Furniture Company (NCFC), Enugu State Hospitals Management Board, Enugu State Agency for Community and Social Development Project (CSDP), Enugu State Library Board, Nike Lake Resort Hotel and Rural Electrification Board. 

Others are, Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA), Enugu State Housing Development Corporation, Enugu State Gaming Commission, Fertilizer Procurement and Distribution Company and Enugu State Water Corporation.

The rest are Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority, Local Government Staff Pensions Board, Governing Board, State College of Agriculture, Governing Council, Enugu State College of Education (Technical) and Membership of the JAAC.

The statement directed the Chairmen and members of the dissolved Boards to hand over all government properties and documents in their possession to the Managing Directors/General Managers of their respective Boards not later than today (Wednesday, 5th February, 2014).
