Kano authority to intensify action on cleaning its environment The  Kano state government said on Friday  that the state Ministry of environment would mobilize sanitary inspectors and market union leaders on cleanliness. The state Commissioner for environment, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, who spoke through the permanent secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Muhammed Badawi, disclosed this to newsmen in kano after the monthly sanitation for markets and businesses. He said that the monitoring team was not happy with the poor sanitary conditions of places they visited saying that they realized that the sanitary inspectors were not properly monitoring some areas. According to him, ' We regard it as a very important task for us to mobilize the sanitary inspectors and the market union leaders to educate  them on the importance of cleaning their business environment.' Abbas urged business owners to clean their premises before and after work to ensure selling of healthy items and to protect the environment. The state Ministry of environment's monitoring team  visited Kwanar Takari market, Yankaba as well as Galadima fish market to inspect the sanitary condition of the markets.
