Anambra Guber : NANS Backs Tony Nwoye
Comrade Tony Nwoye's Solidarity Forum/Local Organising Committee under the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has kicked off a campus tour and has promised maximum support by voting massively for the governorship candidate of People's Democratic Party (PDP), Comrade Tony Nwoye, at the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
The chairman of the Local Organising Committee and former NANS National Treasurer, Comrade Obele Chuks speaking to students at Our Lady's School of Nursing Nkpor while on a campus tour, said that the PDP candidate who was a former NANS president has come on this platform to rescue Anambra youths being that he knows and understands the problem of youths and knows the solutions to their problems given his experience as youth leader.
While on visit to Anambra State University Uli, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe, Bukky Polytechnic Ogidi and Federal College of Education (Technical) Umunze, Comrade Obele Chuks described Nwoye as the right person who will lead Anambra youths to the promised land as he has demonstrated love and shown concern for youths even before nursing the ambition to contest for the gubernatorial election.
In his words: “Our tested, trusted and principled Nwoye is the only candidate that knows the problems of the youth and knows where it pinches them, he is the only person that carries the youth along. Let us try our best the little we can to support him”. Obele noted.
Meanwhile, Comrade Emeka Mbamalu reminded the students about the good virtues of the PDP candidate and his concern for everyone especially the youths. He also urged the students to play their role, protect their interest and identify with someone that will make impact in their lives.
“We students should protect our votes and interes, if not, archrivals will take over and we will continue to suffer. We want to give Tony Nwoye a chance as a former national chairman of NANS; that is why we comrades as students will have to deliver him”, he opined.
Moreover, Comrade Ebuka Okoye explained that they have seen the transparency in Nwoye and truly believe in his promises of transforming Anambra State for better and carrying the youths along in his administration. He therefore advised students to exercise their voting power and educated them on the need to get their bargaining power.
Again, while addressing the students, the former NANS president, Senator Nwachukwu Okpalaoka, said Nwoye was the only candidate who is capable of winning the election with the support of Nigerian students, describing him as a man who always has the interest of the youths at heart as he has made promises that he will take care of youths.
In the same vein, the SUG Public Relations Officer of Anambra State University, Comrade Zimuzo Odogwu, said that they have vowed not to support politicians who make empty promises but because Comrade Tony Nwoye has the interest of youths at heart as a Former NANS president , they will give him their total support and promised to mobilise and convince people to vote for the candidate.
Similarly, a stakeholder of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Comrade Obiora Ambrose, said he believes in who will transform the youth, saying that the PDP candidate is the only tested and trusted person that can transform the youths and rectify their problems. He, therefore, stressed the need for students to work together and harder to enable them achieve a common goal of delivering Comrade Tony Nwoye come November 16th election.
