I Will Conduct Local Government Election Within Three Months Of My Swearing-In...Comrade Tony Nwoye Pleads At Ogbaru And Ayamelum LGA

The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forth-coming Guber election in Anambra State Comrade Tony Nwoye paid a courtesy visit to the people of Iyiowa-Odekpe in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State on Monday 28th of October, 2013.

Comrade Nwoye and his entourage of PDP Stalwarts were received at the prestigious Lake Resort Hotel by an enormous crowd of supporters and party members. The highlight of the event was the acceptance of three hundred and fifty five members of APGA and APC

that defected to the PDP and were given a clapping ovation by party faithful at the event.Notable Party members that accompanied Comrade Nwoye includes Dr Tony Macfoy Akachukwu, Hon Afam Obi, Hon Tony Nwanbuona, Hon Boniface Okonkwo, Hon Uchenna Umerie, Chief Kenneth Arinze and some members of the state House o f Assembly.

While speaking at the reception, Comrade Nwoye posited that it's very unfortunate for the present administration in the state to ignore the yearnings of Anambrarians for employment and empowerment with her failure to conduct Local Government Election in the state since the past seven years of APGA's Administration and pledged to conduct Local Government

Election within three months of his swearing-in as the Governor Of the State.

He charged the people of Ogbaru to be careful with Politicians with false promises. Comrade Nwoye expressed appreciations to the people of Ogbaru for their support to his candidature during the PDP Guber Primary and further pledged to implement policies geared towads Youths Empowerment, Loan acquisitions for indigent farmers, development of Okpoko metropolitan area that has been neglected by previous governments in the

state. Comrade Nwoye further assured the people that his government must be democratised from bottom-up and not autocratic or a one man show as has been witnessed in the state since the past eight years.

The PDP Campaign train later moved to Omor in Ayamelum LGA where they were received by a mountain crowd of supporters including youths and market women. Leaders of the party in Ayamelum including Hon Justice Obidigwe, LGA Candidate Hon Sunny Okolo, the Chief Whip of the state house of assembly, Hon Gabriel Onyenwife, PDP Chairman of Mmerum ward Hon Augustine Obiora and several illustrious sons and daughters of Ayamelum.

In their welcome remarks, the people of Ayamelum expressed satisfaction that a son of Omambala has been nominated by the PDP as the biblical Joshua that will take the people of Anambra North to a democratic promised land. They noted that APGA's Government could not construct a single road nor erect a functional hospital in their communities as they had to travel hundreds of miles to access a functional hospital in neighbouring Towns around Ayamelum.

They frowned at such a disastrous neglect as it has became a CRIME TO FALL SICK IN AYAMELUM LGA because of the insensitive nature of APGA's government which therefore explained the basis for APGA to be voted out on the 16th of November.

While thanking the People of Ayamelum for their enormous support, Comrade Tony Nwoye observed that Ayamelum LGA supported him while he was the PDP Chairman of the state in 2006 and also has a tradition of supporting PDP, a promised kept by the LGA in previous elections in the state.

Being very industrious and a pacesetter in the Agriculture industry in the state, Comrade Nwoye promised to distribute agricultural loans, supports and grants to the people of Ayamelum on his eventual swearing-in as the Governor of Anambra State in 2014. He informed that the president and the leader of the PDP Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan will be coming to support him in a few days.

While giving his vote of thanks, Hon Sunny Okolo promised on behalf of the people of Ayamelum LGA promised to give hundred percent support to the PDP in theforthcoming Nov 16 Poll.

At exactly 7.30 pm, the PDP train left for Ozubulu in Ekwusigo LGA and were warmly received by party and non-party faithfuls that braved the rain and cold to receive Comrade Tony Nwoye and his team. The Ekwusigo delegation which was led by Dr. Tony Macfoy Akachukwu, Former deputy speaker Hon Afam Obi and Engr Jude-Kingsley Onyeka thanked the people of Ekwusigo for the support the LGA gave to Comrade Tony Nwoye especially during the Guber Primary at Awka.

Dr Macfoy noted that the APGA's Government that will soon expire is a disappointment to Anambrarians especially to the people of Ekwusigo as the Local Government benefited next to nothing within the past seven years of APGA's `presence in the state.

Comrade Tony Nwoye further charged the people of Ekwusigo to ask questions concerning the conspiracy of Mr Peter Obi to impose his business partner on the people of Anambra State while at the same time neglecting job creation and youth empowerment.
