FRSC returns N800, 000 to family of accident victim

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Ore Unit Command, Ondo State, has returned N881, 790 cash to the relations of one Olabisi Ajayi, who died in an auto crash that occurred along the Benin-Ore Expressway.

According to the Assistant Corps Command of the FRSC in charge of Ore Unit, Michael Arinzeagu, the money was found at the scene of the accident that occurred at about 7.15pm on Wednesday, October 16.

Arinzeagu said the accident involved two cars and two motorcycles, adding that Olabisi was the only one who lost his life in the incident while the other three victims were hospitalised.

Speaking while presenting the cash to the relations of the deceased in his office, Arinzeagu said four people; all adult males were involved in the accident.

He condoled with the relations of the late Olabisi, who was a 34-year old Banking and Finance graduate of the University of Benin.

Appreciating the FRSC officials on behalf of family, Pastor Emmanuel Ajayi, an uncle of the deceased, who personally collected the money on behalf of the family, thanked the FRSC officials and everyone that had shown concern in the unfortunate incident.

Ajayi said it was rare to see people doing what the FRSC did, moreover that the owner was dead, adding that the good gesture of the agency is worthy of emulation by all. - National Mirror.
