Due to the fact that more confusion have engulfed the country following the

unexpected return of President Yar'Adua to the country and his inability to appear in

public, the Governors Forum will today meet with the Acting President to chart a way

forward for the nation.
African Examiner gathered that during the meeting the governors will press for the

activation of section 144 of the 1999 constitution as well as dissolution of the Federal

Cabinet.
The forum, which is the umbrella body of the governors of the 36 states of the

federation will also prevail on Dr. Jonathan to consider their candidates for ministerial

positions. The meeting is billed for 4.00 pm (Nigerian Time) today (Tuesday, 3/2/2010)

Mean while the chairman of the Governors forum and Kwara state governor Bukola

Saraki has said regardless of Yar'Adua's sudden return, Jonathan is in charge.

'We need to separate the arrival of the President from what has been agreed by the

resolution of the National Assembly which made Dr. Goodluck Jonathan the Acting

President. The President's arrival has not jettisoned that position. The period of

ambiguity is over and we all agree that he (Jonathan) is in charge of the country," he

said.
