Arise, in a release issued in Ado-Ekiti today, prayed that God will console Dame Patience Jonathan and her family, and also grant the deceased eternal rest.

"I wish to commiserate with our president's wife in this moment of grief and as also urge her to be strong in the Lord, bearing in mind that death is the ultimate end of all mortals and it must come when it will come.

"No doubt, Mama Charity Oba was a mother in a million who was a devoted mother and a dedicated Christian, as attested to by the first lady, whom she raised from tender age.

"It is my prayer that the Almighty God will in His infinite mercies comfort Dame Patience Jonathan and give her the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss," Arise said.
