Procurement: Govt blacklists 13 firms for offering bribe
The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has banned 13
companies from participating in any of federal public
procurement processes.
Their ban followed their attempts to offer monetary
gratification in the bid to manipulate the outcome of a procurement
process.
The Director General of the Bureau, Engr. Emeka Ezeh, who disclosed disclosed
at the Stakeholders Workshop in Abuja however declined to list the names of the affected
companies.
The Director General explained that sanctions for erring firms include ban from doing business with the Nigerian government and a fine of 25 per cent of the value of the procurement in
question.
