Nigeria conducive for Investment - Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has again assured international investors that Nigeria is winning the war against terrorism, assuring them of conducive  investment environment..

Speaking at the at the 14th meeting of the Honorary International Investor Council (HIIC) holding at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, he saidsaid that since the declaration of state of emergency in three troubled northern states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa on May 14, there had been significant improvement in national security.

.The HIIC, coordinated by Baroness Lynda Chalker, was inaugurated in 2004 as a Presidential advisory council to attract global financial players into the Nigerian economy. Part of its objectives is reviewing Nigeria's investment environment and advising on areas that require improvement.

He added that the emergency rule had witnessed unprecedented support by the locals, which showed that they were also disenchanted with the level of insecurity.

President Jonathan thanked members of the HIIC for their efforts in attracting business and investments into the country and encouraged them to do more.
