Jonathan Appoints Two Ministerial Nominees

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday forwarded two ministerial appointees, namely Kabiru Taminu Turaki and Prof. Chinedu Nebo to the Senate for confirmation.

Turaki and Nebo are, if confirmed by the Senate, would represent Kebbi and Enugu States respectively. Thereby replacing Mohammed Halliru Bello and Barth Nanji who occupied the slots of Kebbi and Enugu States.

While the ministerial portfolio they are to occupy were not disclosed, It would be recalled that ministerial office of the Defence has been vacant while the resignation of Nnaji has left the power ministry partially vacant.

In the same vein, Jonathan also re-nominated, Sulieman Barau, as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
