Listen to article ,Leaders of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), an arm of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), have declared their support for Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero and his deputy, Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga.

At a press conference yesterday in Kaduna, chairman of the group, Comrade Danjuma Bello Sarki and the coordinator of SOKAPU Youth Wing, Sabastine Luka, said their action followed a careful study of the current political happenings in the state as a result of the death of the former governor, Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa and the elevation of Dr. Yero to the position of governor and subsequent appointment of Ambassador Bajoga as the new deputy governor.

'We call on all southern Kaduna youth to rally round Dr Yero and disregard any call against the government by any individual or group. We have to assist him in moving the state forward.

'It is pertinent to note that Dr. Yero is a young man, so he needs our utmost cooperation and understanding. If he fails to succeed as a result of the lack of support from young people it would be considered a failure of young people in leadership positions in this country. This is just as his success will further boost the confidence of the society on the leadership capabilities of the youth,' they said.
