President Jonathan Condoles with Ghana

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has recalled the shock and sadness he felt when he learnt of the death of President John Atta-Mills of Ghana, last week.President Jonathan was speaking at State House to a five-man delegation from Ghana, led by Hon. Alhaji

Muhammad Mumuni, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, which brought a special message from President John Dramane Mahama.

'I was shocked and sad when I heard of the passing away of my brother, President John Atta-Mills', he stated.

President Jonathan said Nigeria would be represented at the funeral at the highest level, adding that an official delegation would be sent to convey the country's condolence before the burial.

The President assured President Mahama of Nigeria's continued support and cooperation, stating that 'Nigeria will continue to work with Ghana. We will continue to consult on bilateral, regional, continental and global issues'.

Earlier, Alhaji Muhammad Mumuni, had delivered a special message from President John Dramane Mahama, and expressed appreciation for the concern and love shown to Ghana by President Jonathan and the people of Nigeria at this time of sorrow.
