I hate beautiful girls

Dear Auntie Betty,
I am 16 and in senior high school. Though I am in a mixed school, I detest the sight of girls, especially the beautiful ones.

I, therefore, do not talk to any of the girls in my class and when they try to talk to me I become angry. I cannot explain why I behave that way towards girls.

What is wrong with me? Is it because I do not want to be deceived by girls or it is a result of the advice my parents give me about girls anytime I’m going to school?

I need your advice.

Dear Godfred,
You do not have any cause to hate girls, despite the advice from your parents. Girls, just as boys, are nice people to be with.

Besides, you can never live in a society without mixing with girls. Therefore, you should get used to living with them. I do not think your parents said you should hate girls. I believe they only warned you against immoral relationships with girls.

My dear, do loosen up and be yourself. Mix freely with everyone in school and your neighbourhood but don’t start a love relationship with anyone because if you do, it will be the beginning of your woes.
