Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has raised N12 million from the clubs owing players across the federation. Confirming the cheering news yesterday, a member of the NFF board, High chief Emeka Inyama, said the federation had been able to amass a reasonable amount of money from some of the clubs who were owing league players.

According to him, the money would be shared to the players involved.

In the same vein, the Secretary of Nigeria National League, Ayo Abdulrahaman, recently threatened not to register clubs that were having salary issues with their players for the 2011/2012 season.

Abdulrahaman said the decision to disallow clubs owing their players from registering was in line with the directives of the Nigeria Football Federation.

He maintained that the League was working towards improving its standards and acceptability to attract sponsorships adding that no stone would be left unturned in the effort to achieve the ultimate objective.
