By Daily Guide

Robbers on Saturday attacked the Government Secretarial School at Kweikuma near Secondi in the Western Region and made away with some items including a television set and an amount of one hundred Ghana Cedis after killing the security man on duty.

The said robbers tied the hands and legs of the watchman, Moro Kanadje, also known as Baba Issaka, and killed him at dawn of the said day.

Since no wounds were inflicted on the deceased, a lot of people said Issaka might have been suffocated to death before the robbers broke into the administration block of the school and made away with a television set and Gh¢100.

The robbers also stormed the store room, ransacked the trunks, and bags of the students who were on vacation and made away with valuable items.

The body of the deceased, whose age was not immediately known, had been deposited at Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital mortuary in Sekondi for post mortem examination while police investigations are underway.

The Sekondi Crime Officer, A. S. Anyara, was not pleased with reporters from some private television and radio stations who rushed to the scene and entered the rooms that the robbers ransacked.

He said that since the press and the police work for society, the press should cooperate with the police to do preliminary assessment of crime scenes in order not to tamper with evidence.
