All seems set for the first ever Stunts and Effects Seminar in Lagos, Nigeria, as Colin Handley, the Principal of Australian Stunts Academy and other facilitators storm Lagos come October, 12th-16th, 2009 at the Cinema Hall, National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos. The stunts and special effects seminar is an innovative initiative, geared towards adding value to the Nigerian motion picture Industry. This concept is an initiative of 4956 Limited in partnership with the Australian Stunts Academy; it is the first time in Nigeria where such it's taking place.

A stunt is an unusual and difficult physical feat, or any act requiring a special skill, performed for artistic purposes in TV, theatre, or cinema. Stunts are a big part of many action movies, musicals, TV Productions. Popular Stunt Actors include Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Jayan, Hrithik Roshan, Yakima Canutt, Rick Sylvester(James Bond), Tom Cruise, Arnold Swartzenegger, Keanu Reaves, Sebastian Foucan etc.
