MTN REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO NIGERIA'S GROWTH

By NBF News

Basking from the euphoria of a 10 years celebration of GSM activities in the country, MTN Nigeria, has restated commitment to contributing to the next phase of growth in the Nigerian economy.

Chairman of the company, Mr Pascal Dozie made this commitment while expressing profound appreciation to Nigerians for supporting the company in the last 10 years.

Dozie promised that MTN would help in driving growth and development in Nigeria in the next decade.

According to him, the monumental success of MTN Nigeria in the past decade is due to the unalloyed support and cooperation the company had enjoyed from the generality of Nigerians.

'Words are incapable of expressing our gratitude to the government at all levels, the regulatory body, our esteemed customers, our staff, partners, and indeed all our critical stakeholders, whose support has brought us thus far. We would like to assure you all that MTN remains committed to driving growth and development in our dear country, Nigeria, through our innovative products and services and through our structured corporate social investment' he said.

Corroborating Dozie's position, the company's CEO, Mr. Brett Goschen, through the company's Human Resources Executive, Mrs. Amina Oyagbola, said the company in ten years had demonstrated its capacity to fundamentally improve the way Nigerians live, work and play.

'MTN has demonstrated true leadership in the telecoms industry by providing innovative products and services, operating under the most stringent corporate governance code, and fulfilling its responsibilities as a law abiding corporate citizen. As a result of this, the Nigerian telecommunications industry has witnessed unprecedented growth and expansion'.

He promised that MTN was going to maintain same attitude in the next decade.
